Okay, before I start this, I know I’ve been MIA. Sorry! This blog went under some serious maintenance and in my opinion, it’s wayyyy better and wayy more my style. I LOVE the new home page, and the images are pretty representative of the books I’m interested in. The aesthetic is just what I was going for! Anyways, this is all to say that, yes, I was gone for a little while, but I’m back and ready to be active here and on my other socials too! I’ve definitely been more active over on bookstagram and twitter, and I love that I’ve made it more of a safe and genuinely enjoyable space to post what i want, whenever i want.
But anyways, onto the post!
What am I reading this sunday?
Well, on Friday night I totally binge-read A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson, and so I’m onto the second book: Good Girl, Bad Blood!
So far, i’m completely obsessed. I’m only a few chapters in, but I love that it picked up right after the first book. And of course I’m still thinking about all the uncovered secrets that come with Pip, Ravi, and all of Fairview. The small town just has soo much to hide, and there were so many secrets left uncovered from the first book, so i’m definitely excited to see where this goes!
Would I recommend?
So far, absolutely. Again, I’m only a few chapters in, but this series has me so hooked and I want to uncover all of the secrets that this crazy town has to offer.
Plot
Pip is not a detective anymore.
With the help of Ravi Singh, she released a true-crime podcast about the murder case they solved together last year. The podcast has gone viral, yet Pip insists her investigating days are behind her.
But she will have to break that promise when someone she knows goes missing. Jamie Reynolds has disappeared, on the very same night the town hosted a memorial for the sixth-year anniversary of the deaths of Andie Bell and Sal Singh.
The police won’t do anything about it. And if they won’t look for Jamie then Pip will, uncovering more of her town’s dark secrets along the way… and this time everyone is listening. But will she find him before it’s too late?
