It’s Almost December?????!!

Why hello there, long time no see. Anyone else absolutely shook with how this year has just zipped by?! It hit me suddenly last week that I only have one month left of 2025 and suddenly, I felt like I hadn’t done anything for an entire year. That being said, it’s probably been one of the busiest years of my life, so let’s do a little recap and catch up!

It’s definitely been a hot minute since I’ve managed to get any type of blog posts out. Why? I’ve been working. I KNOW – crazy. But it’s true. Mystic Books Marketing, my author services business, kind of skyrocketed after the summer months, which I definitely wasn’t expecting. I’m so happy about it though as I’m literally spending my days getting paid to read. I mean, what could be better?

Anyways, since the summer, I’ve done a ton of traveling, I’ve graduated (yay!), and been taking a bit of a break from school to sort my life out. It’s been one of those years where I’ve felt like I’m in some sort of limbo.

I’ve always felt like I had a direction to go in. First it was elementary school, then high school, then university. And up until my final year, I was under the assumption that grad school would be the next logical step. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out this year, but now that I’m in the midst of a gap year, I’ve realized that it truly was for the best. My mum has been telling me over the past few months (or pretty much this past year), that nothing is linear. It’s been a mantra that replays in my head as I make every decision. Now, I’ve come to a point where this gap year has shown me who I really am – something I haven’t had the chance to really discover throughout my many years of school.

It turns out, I’ve never truly put myself first. I’ve always prioritized something or someone else, and now is my time to do the opposite, and figure out what I need, and what I want.

Aside from that super fun revelation, I’ve been reading some incredible stories, immersing myself in any and all experiences that come my way, and truly just finding ways to thrive in any way I can.

Also, can we talk about volume one of Stranger Things 5?! Anyone else FREAKING OUT?? I’ll post a mini review on each episode soon.

All this to say – I’m back, prioritizing me, and looking forward to the last month of 2025 being the best one yet.
