Sundays in Bed With… As Good As Dead

Sundays In Bed With… is hosted by Midnight Book Girl!

Book of the week:

This Sunday, my choice of reading material while I chill in bed is, of course, As Good As Dead by Holly Jackson.

If you’ve been following along with my other social media accounts (twitter, instagram), then you know I’ve been freaking out with how amazing this series is. It’s hooking me in with each chapter and I love the writing style of the book. I feel completely enthralled in each new mystery that Pip, the main character is uncovering, and each book is getting more and more sinister and creepy.

As Good As Dead is the last book in the A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series, and I can easily say that this series is so amazing at capturing your attention and holding it until you’ve uncovered every single secret there is to offer.

I never thought I’d be a reader that was into small town mysteries, especially because they’re usually super cliche, but this series has completely changed my mind and I want more, more, more.

Holly Jackson is definitely an author that’s going on my auto-read list, I just know I’ll be obsessed with all of Jackson’s stories, including the newest: Five Survive!

Synopsis

The finale to A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series. By the end of this mystery series, you’ll never think of good girls the same way again…

Pip is about to head to college, but she is still haunted by the way her last investigation ended. She’s used to online death threats in the wake of her viral true-crime podcast, but she can’t help noticing an anonymous person who keeps asking her: Who will look for you when you’re the one who disappears?

Soon the threats escalate and Pip realizes that someone is following her in real life. When she starts to find connections between her stalker and a local serial killer caught six years ago, she wonders if maybe the wrong man is behind bars.

Police refuse to act, so Pip has only one choice: find the suspect herself—or be the next victim. As the deadly game plays out, Pip discovers that everything in her small town is coming full circle… and if she doesn’t find the answers, this time she will be the one who disappears…

Do I recommend this series (so far)?

Absolutely 100% yes. Get your hands on this book as soon as possible. The mysteries will have you completely shocked as each twist and turn unravels something new about the small town of Fairview and it’s residents.
