Okay, okay. I know I’ve been saying that I’m going to read Dune for AGES, but I’m finally getting around to it. My dad’s favorite books have always been Dune and The Wheel Of Time, so I’m determined to get through his favorite books in time for their adaptations to come out. I know, I’m super late, but they’re really intimidating, okay?! He just had to pick the BIGGEST and CHUNKIEST looking books in the entire universe.
Anyways, with my university classes starting this past week, I know it’s going to take me absolutely forever to get through Dune, but I’m determined to finish it this time so I can watch the movie and properly understand everything going on. My dad and I did a rewatch of the movie last week and he spent pretty much half of the movie explaining every little detail to me, so it’s worth it!
This will also be my first read through an audio book which is so exciting! It’s always been a struggle for me because I feel like I can’t picture the characters the same way when I’m hearing it rather than reading it, but I’m excited to see how it works out and whether or not this is something I can do more often. It’s already super helpful with my multitasking, but I do find myself almost tuning out the book sometimes, so I’ll have to work on that.
Other than that, I’ve started a hockey romance called Fake Dates & Ice Skates because I just know that Dune is going to be HEAVY. I’m going to need a little romance sprinkled in there, especially with the stress of the upcoming semester. Fake Dates & Ice Skates is pretty good so far! It’s on Kindle Unlimited which is amazing and I’ve been addicted to hockey romances recently with the Off Campus series finishing. I’m excited to get into a new hockey/figure skating romance and see where it takes me.
