I am OBSESSED. I’ve always loved a good omegaverse read, but this might take the cake.

Olive is an introverted, socially anxious omega who’s been dealt an incredibly rough hand at life. When she moves to Starlight Grove, her plan is to isolate in the light house she works in, starting completely fresh in a new town. But her plan falls apart when Easton, an alpha who grew up in Starlight Grove, falls completely head over heels for her. Easton has zero shame, and I have to say I’m so obsessed with it. It was hilarious watching him fumble over Olive throughout the first few chapters, and I love how infatuated he was from just a few meetings. Olive, on the other hand, was utterly smitten, but social anxiety and insecurities held her back from giving in to him. When Easton manages to convince his pack to work on a restoration project for the lighthouse as a way to get close to Olive, we’re introduced to the other two members of Easton’s pack, Lars and Finn. Lars is a burly viking, and as head of the pack, you could just imagine that he was the possessive one of the bunch. Finn on the other hand was hesitant to court Olive because of his connection to the lighthouse and the grief that he was enduring from the passing of his grandparents just recently, owners of the lighthouse that Olive now resides in.
I loved watching these characters fall into place. Olive was soft, hesitant, and insecure, but all three of the guys managed to bring out the feminine security within her. I love how they all had a part to play in helping Olive realize that she’s worth everything that they were willing to provide, that she would be taken care of. The softness of Easton, the grief connection with Finn, and the fact that Lars has been in love with Olive for six years without even knowing about it, all comes together in such a beautiful way.
The writing style here was also incredibly easy to read. This is omegaverse, but in a way that is simple to understand. It gives you all of the things you’d want from an omegaverse read – you’ve got why choose alphas, you’ve got an omega who struggles with her heat, you have mental health representation, grief representation – and all of it combined created an incredible story that I fell head first into.
I can’t wait to dive into the next books in this small town series. Starlight Grove was cozy, warm, and like a cup of tea on a chilly day. It was the perfect fall read, and I know that the other books in this series align with the seasons, so I’m looking forward to my winter read!
