A Quick January 2025 TBR

It’s official – the new year is upon us and I don’t know about you, but I’m excited for this fresh start. I always feel like a new year brings upon reflection and as I look back on my 2024 I can easily say that I’m proud of the place that I’m at. I’m looking forward to yet another year filled with five star reads and exciting opportunities!

My TBR for this month is going to be very light. I found myself reading as a chore throughout the last few months of 2024 and I want to go back to reading for fun. I’ve put a few books that I definitely want to get through this month, but the rest are up to mood reading (a common occurrence with me).

  1. Collide – Bal Khabra

I finished 2024 in the midst of this one and it’s giving me major The Deal by Elle Kennedy or Icebreaker by Hannah Grace vibes. Maybe it’s just the hockey romance but I adore the entire black cat FMC x golden retriever MMC trope and it’s keeping me alive during these chilly months! I’m looking forward to seeing how this one ends, especially as I have been lucky enough to receive an advanced copy of book 2!

  1. Spiral (ARC) – Bal Khabra

Book 2 in the Off the Ice series, I’m so excited to continue with this universe! I’m curious to see which character is going to be showcased and I definitely want to see some cameos of Collide characters!

  1. Under His Wrath (Beta/ARC) – Rhea Harp

If you didn’t know already, I’m obsessed with Rhea. Her book has provided me with such an outlet for my dark romance obsession. Under His Command was one of my top reads of 2024 and I’m so excited and grateful to have been provided with the second book to Beta/ARC read.

  1. Manacled – senlinyu

It’s time. I’ve been putting off reading this Dramione fanfic for years. As an avid Harry Potter fan (seriously, I watch them every year), and someone who has grown up admiring Hermione Granger and aspiring to be her, I’ve always been worried that fanfics would taint my perception of my favorite character of all time. That being said, I’m hoping and praying that this story provides me with some Harry Potter universe because I’m running out of ways to experience Hogwarts for myself!

Like I said, this is going to be a super light month for reading but I’m hoping to get through some of my physical reads too – we’ll see where my mood reading takes me!
