Oh my gosh this book was amazing. From page one, I was swept up into a gory, suspenseful, and very spicy story that I couldn’t put down.
The storyline
As Aurelia and her best friend, Stella, are swept into an elaborate and spooky escape room, the two end up stuck in a web of three very haunted individuals finding wicked games for them to play to escape.
With dark secrets, a haunting and mysterious past, and suspenseful moments, Pandora’s Escape will have you on the edge of your seat and begging for more!
The characters
Aurelia was such a relatable character. Her insecurities were real and things that everyone experiences. I feel like she was the perfect character to center this story around and she was the missing piece to the puzzle of what they all call home.
Raven was such a cool character and I love how confident she was in almost every scene. She had me hooked from the first introduction to her character and I wanted so much more of her! We love a strong and confident woman.
I really loved Marcel as a character. His small secret words in Spanish had me in tears and his gentleness was so sweet. He’s a softie for his girls, just like Xavier.
I saved the best for last because I fell hard for Xavier. This short story had me wanting more and more. Maybe I’m a sucker for a guy in a mask but his anonymity was intriguing and then his softness had me adoring him.
The writing style
Reilly managed to create a spicy and suspenseful romance that had me zipping through the story. I was intrigued to find out how the prologue was relevant (I suspected the plot twist fairly early on however the confirmation was worth the wait), and I was intrigued to find out how the story would end. I loved how the spice wasn’t cheesy, but just the right amount considering how gory the story also is. I feel like Reilly gave readers the right amount of gore, violence, spice, and suspense – it was such a fun read!
Final thoughts
I really enjoyed this read and I’m definitely curious to see more of what Reilly comes up with. I’ll be checking out her other books now, for sure!
