Twisted Love – Ana Huang

Guys!!! This book was so cute! An adorable romance between Alex and Ava was just what i needed after the intensity of the Cat & Mouse Duet and I’m so obsessed with them! 

Story

I didn’t really know what to expect while going into Alex and Ava’s story. I hadn’t picked up an Ana Huang before but I’d heard so many amazing reviews about this series, particularly the second book – Twisted Games. Immediately the story was super easy to get into and read. I didn’t have any difficulties relating to Ava as a character and Alex being the broody and dark love interest. It was clear that this was going to be more of an enemies to lovers type of story but the fact paced aspect made me feel like their story was slipping by so quickly. The two became friends very fast and the tension skyrocketed between the two of them. It didn’t help that Ava’s brother is Alex’s best friend, making the tension that much higher.

Along with their romance, the side plots were amazing. It became a little predictable at times but I was enraptured by the story of the two characters and how that got them to be where they are. I feel like it made them way more interesting as characters and gave them more than just a regular old romance.

I have to say that Jules made me laugh in pretty much every scene she was in. I know she’s the confident one of the group and I love that for her. I can just see her being hilarious but deflecting all her feelings and I can’t wait to read about her story and how she got to that point. 

Bridget is a freaking princess, like how cool is that?! I can’t wait to read her story, I feel like it’ll be super political and diplomatic while also giving tension and high romance. It’s those secret touches and if I know anything from Alex’s observation in the epilogue, Bridget is in for a whirlwind.

Stella is a character I feel like I need more of. I feel like she was the quietest but also the sweetest? She seemed so genuinely soft and adorable and I kind of want to wrap her up in a big old hug. She’s also a micro-influencer which is so freaking cool?! 

The four of these girls are one of my favorite girl groups to this day. I feel like their support for each other is amazingly unwavering and I love that they’re always going to be there for each other. It made me so happy to see that Ava had such a strong support system and I just know she’s going to be the same for them when their time comes around too.

I have to say that these two are pretty freaking cute. This is a very clear grumpy x sunshine or golden retriever x black cat kind of story and I adore that dynamic. Ava was such a ray of happiness and energy and she made me feel like the world can be good despite the horrible things that the world is capable of. And Alex balanced her out perfectly. The pair fit together so well and I loved their dynamic. Not to mention Alex’s overprotective nature and Ava’s obsession with him. I love it!
