65 has been on my watch list for a while. I love dinosaur movies and I love sci-fi so I was excited to see what it’d be about. It only helped that Adam Driver was starring in it.
My excitement for this movie was a waste, no hate to those who loved 65, but what???
There was no explanation whatsoever! Why did he crash on Earth? Where was he beforehand? What sickness did his daughter have? Where was his ship supposed to be going? Who’s the girl he’s with? What language is she speaking?
Tons of unanswered questions made this movie slow and kind of boring. I mean, yeah they’re being chased by dinosaurs all the time and there’s a ticking clock before the meteor comes down and kills them all, but what’s the point?!
The coolest part of this movie was watching the technology that Adam Driver had. There were these balls that could blow things up and he had a tablet-like device that could do pretty much everything. It was pretty cool. But that was shadowed by the fact that I had no clue what was actually going on. All I knew is that he’s trying to get to the escape pod but why was he even on Earth in the first place?
If youre looking for an action-packed movie with sci-fi and dinosaurs thrown in there, this is for you. Don’t ask questions, just go with it.
