I want to start by thanking S.H. Steele. All of the reviews of her books were given to me free of charge, in exchange for an honest review, thank you, S.H. Steele!
Now, onto The Serpent and the Scientist. This book was super exciting and action-packed. I was so ready to see what Steele had in store for me and I wasn’t disappointed!
Plot
As Clark navigates his new mission with Jane Thomas, he must stop at nothing to bring in the bear that threatens to murder a scientist. Can Clark and Jane stop the bear and protect the scientist before it’s too late?
Characters
As I’ve mentioned in previous reviews regarding this series, Clark is a character that I wasn’t completely sure about, but with each book, I’m growing to love him a bit more. He’s an interesting character that has a genuinely troubled past. His quirky and sassy behavior makes him into a likable character that I found myself really enjoying.
Jane was a character that I didn’t love in River’s books but I found myself admiring in this one. She was good in a fight and her gloves definitely gave her a cool advantage.
Writing
As usual, Steele blew me away and kept me coming back. It was refreshing to read despite the action taking place in the story.
In Conclusion…
This was a quick and easy addition to the Serpents Tail series. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
