This book was such a fun addition to Larsen’s Calendar Romance series. It was a quick and easy read that I finished in about an hour and really enjoyed!!
Plot
Kayla is a florist and takes joy in being a perfectionist, going through life with perfectly beautiful flower arrangements guiding her path. That is, until she meets Neil on April Fool’s Day.
The two play a prank on one of Kayla’s employees and immediately bond over their laughter. Soon after, they’re getting to know each other on a more intimate level, growing closer at a fast rate.
Kayla is spooked by some words spoken by her close friend and employee and immediately rushes out of the relationship, regretting it instantly. The two take some time apart to think of what they want, and Kayla realizes just how in love with Neil she is.
Can Kayla make up with Neil before it’s too late?
Characters
Kayla was a character that I really enjoyed. Her personality was all fun and games and while she could definitely be serious at times, I loved how happy and positive she was. It was a nice change from some of Larsen’s other characters that were just too flat.
Neil was also a love interest that I found myself really liking. He had an interesting personality that I wish I had more time to get to know, but I feel like both of them fit really well together which makes me happy.
Writing
Larsen’s writing was perfect in this book. There have been previous calendar romance books that just bored me a bit, however, this book had my attention from the beginning and held it. I did feel like there should’ve been a bit more? It just seemed like it was so quick to happen, but I did overall enjoy the writing and her unique style.
In Conclusion…
Another great addition to this series. Lovers of contemporary romances: get in on this series ASAP!
