Guys, this book was so cute!! I picked this up from KU because the author was so lovely and graciously allowed me to support her through being on her street team! I’ve been anticipating this release since hearing about it and I’m so so excited to share this review!
The story
Sophia is a CEO of a large company but on the side, her personal life in haunted by a stalker who’s been sending her notes and messages for a year. While the notes seem harmless, they scare… and thrill Sophia.
As the stalking escalates and Sophia comes to face to face with her stalker, she must decide whether this person who knows the most intricate details of her life can fit perfectly into her routine. Can Lance be the one for Sophia despite the stalking and his forceful attempt into her life?
Thoughts
I’m a sucker for a good stalker romance. Since reading Haunting Adeline, I haven’t been able to stop! I’m obsessed with the thrill that it provides and the small bit of fear despite knowing what’s going on and the story being sort of predictable.
Lance and Sophia’s story, while predictable, was adorable and I’m completely obsessed. This short novella managed to suck me into the story and characters while loving their connection together. The pair of them formed together perfectly and it’s like they were made to just fit in each others lives like puzzle pieces.
Adding to it all, I loved the writing style that K. Lanthier used. The story was easy to understand but I could tell both of the characters were somewhat sophisticated and intelligent in their respective fields. They were strong characters and I adored every second of it!
