This book is one of my new favorites. Honestly, I don’t know how I went so long without reading this! If you’ve checked out my Twitter then you definitely saw how much I adored this book while reading it, and you know I’m giving it a 5-star review! The world-building, character development, and slow-burn tension were incredible.
This book was absolutely amazing for this time of the year. I had been struggling to get into the holiday/Christmas spirit because of all of the schoolwork that has been piling up, however, after reading this book, I’m ready for Christmas and a holiday like no other!
First of all, I want to thank Goodreads for allowing me the opportunity to enter a giveaway for this book! This book had me hooked from the description on the back cover, and I was immediately brought into a fantasy world full of little girls and puppy dogs that help you dream. I think it’s safe to say I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
Since I absolutely love fairytale retellings, this was a pretty exciting read for me. Liz Braswell told the story of Beauty and the Beast in a twisted, dark, and different way than the original fairytale that I really enjoyed. Definitely an interesting twist on an otherwise beautiful fairytale. Beauty and the Beast but darker, more haunting, and with cobwebs surrounding the castle! What if Belle’s mother was the enchantress that cursed the Beast?
I was actually really excited about this sampler. After reading the description it sounded like my kind of story, however, I was kind of disappointed. It just wasn’t what I wanted from it. Now, the book might get better, I did only have the prologue and first three chapters, but from what I read, I wasn’t that impressed.
So, on December 1st, I will be updating a huge list of prompts for recommendations each day. It will end on December 31st as we say goodbye to 2020, and hello to 2021! As per the rules, I’m going to try my best to use as many books as I can and also not repeat them!
I really enjoyed this book by Sarwat Chadda. It was so different and unique and was such an easy read, it was exactly what I needed!
Alright! So since there a ton of new books coming out (and sequels), here are just a few of my most anticipated reads!
Now, where do I even begin? This book was…unbelievable, to say the least. It’s probably my new favorite book. Lore is a unique story that includes Greek mythology, and, as someone who’s never been into Greek mythology, this really surprised me. Luckily for me, I had already read the first six chapters of this book through Netgalley, as an excerpt. This little sneak peak on the book made me so ready to dive right in, and let me tell you, I was hooked.
Throne of Glass was definitely one of my favorite series (probably due for a re-read soon), so it’s going to be super fun to do this tag!
