Dystopian

Shatter Me – Tahereh Mafi

I really enjoyed this book! I’m curious about the story and I’m interested in Juliette and who she really is. Let’s find out more!

The Handmaid’s Tale – Margaret Atwood

This intense and heavy story had me hooked from the first chapter. I was immediately pulled into Atwood’s dystopian future of a world where women have no choices and are controlled by the greed of men.

The Selection – Kiera Cass

The Selection has always been one of those guilty pleasure books that I go back to when I’m in a slump and this was no exception. It was such a fun and easy read and I definitely always enjoy the series. If you’ve seen any of my earlier posts then you know that this is a series that I read annually and this time it was able to get me out of a slump from a previous series that I got hooked on.

GENES – Mary Ting

Where do I even begin? This series has been incredible, to say the least. I finished the first two books in a few hours and this one was no exception. It was spectacular and captivating and I couldn’t take my eyes off the pages. I can’t even tell you which one was my favorite out of the three so far, they were all so amazing.

HELIX – Mary Ting

This book was incredible. If you didn’t know already, I devoured the first book in the series (ISAN), and this time around, it was exactly the same way. I found myself addicted to the book and couldn’t stop reading, I finished it in a matter of hours!

ISAN – Mary Ting

This book was incredible. I have to say, I had no clue what to expect when starting it. It’s not a well known book, so I didn’t really have any expectations, however, this completely blew my mind. I finished it in a matter of days (pretty much one day), and couldn’t put it down. The story was captivating and addicting and I felt stuck in the pages of the book and completely in love with the characters.

Event Horizon – Jackson Utz

The Eternal Lifeline series comes to an astonishing close in this crazy, sci-fi/dystopian book. The trilogy took us on a journey of Sebastian and his friends cleansing the universe of all evil, and it all comes to an end in this last book of the trilogy.

Crimson Night – Jackson Utz

This book was shocking. I never would have guessed the ending or any of the amazing twists that took place, I was in complete awe of every action the characters would take and I could not put this book down at all.

The Red Queen Series – Victoria Aveyard

I absolutely love the red queen series by Victoria Aveyard. It is everything I had wanted in a dystopian fantasy and while the complex history of the world of red vs. silver should have been hard to follow, it was so easy and simple to get into and was such a fun read!
