Crowned A Traitor – Kate Callaghan

I really enjoyed reading this. The writing style was unique, and so was the story. The characters were detailed and so different than what I’ve recently been reading and the entire story was honestly so refreshing. This was a super cool plotline. Our main character is none other than the heir of Hell! Klara is Lucifer’s daughter and she has been called upon to take her place in the world of royalty as the High Queen of Malum. Unfortunately, Klara doesn’t want to rule, which puts her in a tough situation with all of her guardians.

Lore (Excerpt) – Alexandra Bracken

This book is kind of centered around Greek mythology. Every seven years, the Agon begins and nine Greek Gods are forced to walk the earth as mortals. These Gods are hunted during the Agon by descendants of the ancient bloodlines in order for the hunters to gain immortality and power.

A Vow so Bold and Deadly (Excerpt) – Brigid Kemmerer

First of all, I want to thank Netgalley for giving me the chance to read this short preview of A Vow so Bold and Deadly by Brigid Kemmerer. From the first words of A Curse so Dark and Lonely – “There is blood under my fingernails. I wonder how many people I’ve killed this time.”- I have been completely obsessed with this series. I finished both of the previous books in a day, and I fell in love with the characters and storyline, which is why I’m so grateful to have a little sneak-peak of the newest book which has an expected publication on January 12th, 2021.

A Heart so Fierce and Broken – Brigid Kemmerer

A Heart so Fierce and Broken is the second book in the Cursebreakers series and follows A Curse so Dark and Lonely. This book started off a little slow for my liking, but it did pick up with the plotline, and I loved it. Unlike the last book, Harper and Rhen aren’t present for most of this one. The point of view is from Lia Mara, daughter of Karis Luran, and Grey, who we discover is heir to the throne of Emberfall.

Heartless – Marissa Meyer

This book was absolutely incredible. Heartless is the first book I’ve read by Marissa Meyer and I loved every second of it. I was hesitant to read this since I’ve been in a bit of a book slump from the Throne of Glass series, however, this book made me want to read constantly and definitely helped me out of it.

A Court of Frost and Starlight – Sarah J. Maas

Once again, I was whisked away to Velaris. This time for a Winter Solstice with the Inner Circle! This novella takes place after A Court of Wings and Ruin, meaning the war is over, and the Inner Circle is back home. I loved this novella. I was expecting it to be just fluff, but you can see where the next book is leading, especially now that we know it is a Nessian story.

Kingdom of Ash

Wow. Just, wow. I can’t even begin to describe how incredible this book was. As the final book in the Throne of Glass series, I was obviously expecting it to be sad, but this broke my heart and put it back together a thousand different times. I honestly think that this is my favorite of the entire series, through the intense character relationships and the roller-coaster of emotions, it’s just the perfect book to finish the fantastic series.

Tower of Dawn – Sarah J. Maas

I have to admit; I expected more from this book. I kind of went into it, not knowing what to expect, mainly because I’m not the biggest fan of Chaol anymore. The story started super slow, and it just felt like I was having tons of information-pushed onto me; however, during the second half, it picked up and became a lot more interesting.

Empire of Storms – Sarah J. Maas

I am completely shocked, to say the least. This book was a crazy mix of emotions, and I loved every bit of it. Empire of Storms is probably the best book in the series, at least in my opinion. Every character has finally come together, and I honestly could not stop reading.
