My Favorite Fall Books

Welcome to October, the month of cozy and haunting stories, all wrapped up in a warm blanket with a cup of tea!

The Selection – Kiera Cass

The Selection has always been one of those guilty pleasure books that I go back to when I’m in a slump and this was no exception. It was such a fun and easy read and I definitely always enjoy the series. If you’ve seen any of my earlier posts then you know that this is a series that I read annually and this time it was able to get me out of a slump from a previous series that I got hooked on.

Series Reviews: The Den – S.H. Steele

I finished this entire series in a day and adored every single book. I couldn’t put them down and I needed more, more, more. The cliffhangers were insane and drove me crazy waiting for the next book to download onto my kindle and I loved each of the characters as I watched them develop and grow.

Die With Zero – Bill Perkins

Die With Zero definitely isn’t my usual type of read. I’m generally a fiction reader, so this was a change of pace for me and I found it a little more difficult to get into. Since this is a non-fiction/self-help type of book, I won’t be reviewing in my usual categories of setting, characters, and plot. Instead, I’ll be reviewing based on what this book has shown me and how it has benefitted me for the future.

The Crowns of Croswald – D.E. Night

Crowns of Croswald was such an interesting book to read about. The magic system and world-building were really cool to see and I enjoyed getting to know the characters. I have to admit that I was quite confused at the beginning because nothing was explained very well, however, I managed to figure out the world-building and a bit of how it works by the middle of the book.

Midnight Sun – Stephenie Meyer

This book was kind of incredible. It did take me practically forever to get through, but it was worth it. Midnight Sun takes us back into the Twilight universe, but this time, through Edward’s eyes. In my opinion, this book was more interesting than the original Twilight which was from Bella’s point of view. It was so interesting to see Edward’s take on everything that was happening, as well as his struggles to keep Bella alive. Along with all of this, I see him in a completely different light now that I know what goes through his mind, and I definitely like him a lot more.
